I've known Shenell for many years as a former colleague at Division of Fish & Wildlife. Because of her love of nature and animals she decided to focus her postgraduate studies on the great land crab, a species little studied in the Virgin Islands and under potential threat of over harvest. Born and raised on St. Thomas, Ms. Gordon has dedicated her life to the care of this island and all her creatures. Even with her busy schedule, she continues to give her time to the Humane Society and strive for improvements in the humane treatment of animals on St. Thomas. Her pets were rescue animals and she is outspoken when it comes to animal cruelty or sticking up for the underdog. I would vouch for Shenell's character any day.

Shenell is amazing with our office mascot and Chief Beagle Officer, Mack. Mack gets so excited every time Shenell comes to the office to pick him up for his daily walks. Mack gets a nice 30 minute walk with Shenell, homemade doggie treats (because he's so cute and spoiled) and he always comes back to the office with a huge smile on his face. Mack thanks Shenell for his amazing walks because it makes his naps even better!
